HÀ NỘI — The first gold medals in chess at the National Sports Games went to the teams from Hà Nội and Bắc Giang yesterday.
Grandmaster Nguyễn Tuấn Minh of hosts Hà Nội topped the men’s individual standard chess class with nine points from nine matches. He was followed by HCM City’s GM Lê Quang Liêm who is world No 三 八 and national No 一 with 七. 五 points. Nguyễn Văn Huy of Hà Nội was third with 六. 五 points.
